I have a SMART Board in my classroom this year, which makes me wonder how I ever taught without it! It has been so exciting to not only develop lessons, but to see my students so engaged in almost every lesson I teach. Math lessons are perfect for SMART Board activities since they are so manipulative. Below is my Everyday Math game, Monster Squeeze. This is s a guessing game for students to compare numbers 1-10 and 10-20.

Kindergarten Data Punch Books
I have been thinking about Kindergarten data notebooks a lot lately and how to make them fun and engaging. I came up with an idea to make a small flip book that can be hole-punched as students master letters, sounds, numbers, and DIBELS/AIMSWeb benchmarks. I can't wait to try these out in September!

Here's a fun 100th Day activity. Students can paint "gumballs" in each gumball machine using a Q-tip or pencil eraser. After they have painted 10 "gumballs" per machine, they can trace the numbers to 100!

Wow...it's been a long time since my last post! Here is a Roll and Read Number activity for students. I created this for my students receiving math interventions. They need DESPERATE help with fluently naming numbers 0-9. I hope you can use this! Just click on the link below!

Caterpillar Sight Word Race
I found a really great game last weekend while I was at the Good Will. It was a really fun preschool game that I thought I could turn into a sight word game, so here it is!

I'm on a roll tonight. I can't sleep after the election results tonight, so I'm sitting up busily creating things with my new commercial clip art :)
I've been looking at the Common Core standards and thinking about how I want to teach analyzing and comparing shapes. I thought this book would be handy in looking at the characteristics of two-dimensional shapes. If you like it, head over to my TpT store!
